Mysteries of the Rosary

The Rosary contains 20 mysteries, which are each in honor of a particular event in Our Lord’s Life and that of his Blessed Mother. The mysteries are divided into Joyful, Sorrowful, Glorious and Luminous mysteries and are designed in such a way as to draw our focus to the ministry, love, and passion of Christ. In this way, one is to meditate on each mystery as he or she recites the decade of prayers. It can be said that within the rosary lies our story of salvation. By meditating on the mysteries of joy, sorrow, and glory that we encounter Christ in every form – in the incarnation, life, death, resurrection, and through his Mother Mary. It is in this way that we can truly come to know our redeemer.
